Light meter is an android app which measuring the amount of light in lx (lux) and calculated an exposure value (EV).
Exposure value (EV) are numerical scales for measuring how much of the light is allowed into the camera. The scale is logarithmic.
"Once users have an EV, they can use the sunny 16 rule to convert that number into shutter speed and aperture.
The sunny 16 rule states:
«On a sunny day set aperture to f/16 and shutter speed to the [reciprocal of the] ISO setting for a subject in direct sunlight.»
That means an EV of 15 needs an aperture of f/16 and a shutter speed of 1 divided by the ISO."
